Hennes Communications opened in 1989 as a full-service public relations firm. In 2001, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, we made the decision to narrow our focus to crisis communications. At that time crisis communications was a discipline relatively unknown outside of the Fortune 500.
Now, two decades later, we see nearly 200 clients a year across multiple industry sectors. Wondering if we’ve ever dealt with a situation similar to yours? The answer is probably yes.
Hennes Communications is one of the few firms in N. America focused on crisis communications and crisis management. We’ve built our international business helping clients minimize risk by managing their communications response to reputational challenges, crisis events and other issues threatening their mission and their ability to serve stakeholders.
Our past and present clients include public and private corporations, law firms, eldercare communities (nursing homes, assisted living, skilled and hospice), government agencies, educational institutions (public, private, parochial and independent schools pre-K through grade 12, as well as public and private colleges and universities), banking and finance, larger non-profits, arts organizations, hospitals, dental groups and physician practices and a wide variety of trade and professional associations.
While the firm is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, our clients are located from coast to coast. We also have worked on numerous client assignments in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Japan and South America.
Please note that this list is limited by the need for confidentiality and clients who ask us not to publicly post their organization’s name, even though we do not disclose details of our engagements without permission. As well, we are often retained by attorneys and their law firms. Since the law firm is actually the client, those clients do not appear on our posted client list.
